If you have a dream, or a vision for your life, don’t tell us about it. Show us.
When I first started writing, I would talk to my friends and family about what I was doing and why it was important to me.
The more I spoke about it, the lonelier I felt.
Over time, I realized that talking about it wasn’t helping and the only thing that mattered was doing the work. I realized that if I can be present for the people in my life, without making it about me, the experience was always more enjoyable.
I have to remind myself of this constantly.
It’s more important to enjoy the company of friends and family than to feel like I’m understood.
And no one has to know about the work you do…
But we want to see it.
100% spot on. Actions count.
