Last Wednesday I sat down to journal and, by the end of the hour, I’d accidentally figured out how to build an app with AI:

It started with a button I’d been ignoring

I’d seen the Design button sitting there for a while and never pressed it. This time, I did and it walked me through a tutorial, asked for a project name, and dropped me into a screen with a sidebar where you describe what you want to create.

From stream-of-consciousness to a working tool

I’ve been wanting a process to get from raw idea, to production, and then release for the podcast and YouTube videos I produce. I described what I wanted to the AI, and before I knew it, we had a working journal app that takes whatever I write stream-of-consciousness, pulls out the ideas worth acting on, gives me critical feedback on how I’m thinking, and organizes everything.

You fix bugs by talking with it

When something breaks while it’s building, you drop a note in the box . “Here’s a bug, let’s fix this”, and it fixes it. It also narrates what it’s doing as it works.

You can probably do this too
